Use of Medium Pots

Medium pots are a practical choice for growing a wide range of plants, including herbs, annual flowers, compact vegetables, indoor foliage plants and young shrubs. They provide more root room and moisture retention than small pots while remaining easy to move, making them suitable for patios, balconies, windowsills and indoor spaces. Use a quality potting mix rather than garden soil for reliable drainage and nutrition. As a general guide, select a medium pot when the plant’s roots are becoming crowded or when you want to grow one established plant without frequent repotting. Water when the top layer of mix feels dry, but avoid overwatering, and feed plants during their active growing season according to the fertiliser instructions. 

This size is perfect for small to medium plants. It fits most 12cm nursery pots and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Please note: when soil is placed directly into the planter, its indoor use may be limited. To preserve its decorative appearance and help prevent decomposition, we recommend lining the inside of the planter.
